Working Dog Conference - April 2-6, 2017 - Banff

The International Working Dog Breeding Association is very proud to host the 10th International Working Dog Conference, taking place in spectacular Banff, Alberta. Set amidst the magnificent Rocky Mountains, The Rimrock Hotel and Resort is the perfect location for the conference, April 2 – 6, 2017. The objective of these conferences is to create a collaborative environment where program managers and handlers, from international working dog programs, come together with researchers and subject matter resources from scientific disciplines which influence the working dog community. This meeting facilitates a unique opportunity to exchange critical information, which in turn results in advancement for numerous aspects of working dog programs. IWDC 2015, held in La Grande Motte, France was attended by 150 international delegates representing 30 countries.

WCVM Ultrasonography & Embryo Transfer Workshops - May 7-12

The Western College of Veterinary Medicine is conducting ultrasonography and embryo transfer workshops in tandem from May 7 to 12, 2017.
The workshops will provide essential knowledge and hands-on experience for veterinary practitioners, research scientists and graduate students. Participants may register for one or both of the workshops. Participants will spend more than 30 hours in the laboratory developing their skills in ultrasonography, embryo collection and transfer, embryo evaluation and cryopreservation.

SDEP Abdomen Training - May 12-14, 2017 - Vancouver

DATE: May 12-14th, 2017
COURSE: SDEP Abdomen training which includes pathology lecture and extensive hands-on training. SDEP teaches a 17point abdominal progression to obtain all the top views needed to optimize imaging, correctly diagnose, and make the right treatment decisions based on results. Upon completion of this 3-day course, attendees will receive 22 CE credits, but more importantly will go home ready to implement their new skills immediately.
CE CREDITS: 22 CE
LOCATION: Lecture will be held at the Sutton Place (845 Burrard Street,Vancouver, V6Z 2K6) and our lab will be held at the BCSPCA (1245 East 7th Avenue, Vancouver BC V5T 1R1).
