A full-time veterinarian is needed for a municipal and provincially funded Clinic in Alonsa, Manitoba. The Clinic is funded by the Municipalities of Alonsa and McCreary and governed by the Inter-Ridge Veterinary Board.
The practice is 40% small animal, 60% large animal (cow-calf, horse, etc.) providing both in-Clinic and on-farm services. A newly renovated residence with appliances is provided attached to the office and small animal clinic. The large animal facility is detached.

Winnipeg Humane Society Looking for a Veterinarian

Tired of the day to day hassles of traditional practice but still want to work directly with animals?
The Winnipeg Humane Society is expanding our services and we are looking for a fourth full-time veterinarian to join our busy and fun-loving team. We also will be hiring a one year Maternity leave full-time position beginning in March.
We practice high quality medicine and treatment is directed by the needs of the animals rather than by what an owner chooses. The Staff Veterinarians are responsible to provide veterinary services to animals within the care of the Winnipeg Humane Society and our partners. This includes spay/neuter surgery, examination of adoptable animals, institution and direction of medical or surgical treatment of ill animals, and follow-up examination and treatment of recently adopted animals.
We also provide veterinary services to many local rescue groups and offer spay and neuter services in remote communities. Experience in shelter medicine and good surgical skills are assets.
Salary is based on skills and experience. Health and dental benefits are available, paid sick and holiday time, MVMA/CVMA dues, and continuing education allowance are provided.

We are a 3-veterinarian practice that works in conjunction with the Winnipeg Animal Emergency Hospital to provide 24 hour care to the public of Manitoba. There are no on-call duties.
The applicant must have knowledge of all aspects of small animal medicine and surgery. Medical knowledge of exotics would be an asset. We are looking for a team player who can work well with others and who values diversity in the workplace.
Our hospital is very well equipped with digital x-ray, an advanced ultrasound machine, state of the art diagnostic equipment, and advanced anesthetic monitoring and surgical equipment. Salary is based on experience and the skill-set of the candidate.
