Veterinarian Wanted in Manitoba

A full-time veterinarian is needed for a municipal and provincially funded Clinic in Alonsa, Manitoba. The Clinic is funded by the Municipalities of Alonsa and McCreary and governed by the Inter-Ridge Veterinary Board.
The practice is 40% small animal, 60% large animal (cow-calf, horse, etc.) providing both in-Clinic and on-farm services.
A newly renovated residence with appliances is provided attached to the office and small animal clinic. The large animal facility is detached.
Veterinarian receives a supplemental grant of $14,000/year plus all profit from drug sales and veterinarian services. Many extras - utilities, insurance, taxes etc paid.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is dedicated to safeguarding food, animals and plants which enhances the health and well-being of Canada’s people, environment and economy.
The CFIA is seeking applications for veterinarians in various tenure positions (casual, permanent, term) in Brandon and Neepawa, Manitoba. These positions are open to graduates of a recognized veterinary medicine school who are eligible to be registered and licensed by the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association. We are looking for individuals who are good communicators, work well in a team environment, are analytical thinkers and problem solvers, have good interpersonal skills and judgment, integrity, initiative, and are dependable and results-oriented. Preference may be given to candidates with experience in the meat industry and/or with a large animal practice.
Successful candidates may work out of a district office or in a slaughter facility and the responsibilities include interacting with industry, producers, consumers and public servants with other government agencies.
