Associate Veterinarian at Virden Animal Hospital – Virden, MB

Are you looking for the perfect blend of country life with easy access to city amenities? Virden is a three-hour drive on the Trans-Canada east to Winnipeg or west to Regina, or one short hour drive to Brandon.  Our back yard is an outdoor enthusiast’s dream and Virden is a busy community, 3,300 people strong, with a full slate of amenities.

We’re hiring a mixed animal veterinarian to join our team. During business hours, mixed veterinarians may choose to specialize in companion pets, large animal, or equine practice, however flexibility for afterhours, handling all species of animals, is desired.

We are a well-equipped, progressive, mixed animal, full-service facility that is 50% bovine and small ruminant, 30% small animal and 20% equine.

Recent grads are encouraged to apply – mentorship available.

Our ideal candidate is a team player who enjoys dealing with people and can work independently. Strong communication, problem solving and listening skills are beneficial.

We offer:
• Work-life balance
• Above average compensation
• Extended health care benefits
• Paid MVMA and CVMA dues
• CE allowance
• Signing/Performance Bonus
• Matching RRSP contributions
• Generous employee discounts
