CENCAN 2021 – 2022

Due to the pandemic, the MVMA and MVTA have been unable to host the regular in-person CenCan conference. This has provided an opportunity to look for alternatives while still providing CE to members.

CenCan will no longer be a 3-day in-person event. The new look will include a virtual and in-person CE series, hosted in partnership with the MVMA, MVTA and other organizations within Manitoba, to provide education and engagement for members.

MISSION
To educate and engage with our members, the public and other stakeholders about animal health and the betterment and protection of animals and people in Manitoba.

PRINCIPLES

  • Partnerships – Working with other organizations within our province. These organizations share our mission and provide other perspectives, knowledge bases and resources.
  • Promoting our Members / Manitoba grown – Acknowledging that we have specialized and highly knowledgeable colleagues within our province. These colleagues also have the benefit of understanding Manitoba specific issues, the Manitoba market and have Manitoba contacts.
  • Accessibility – Bridging the urban rural divide by offering participation online and events outside of Winnipeg.

The mission and principles will be accomplished through a number of events, including:

  1. Virtual and in-person CE series
  2. Public education events
  3. Tradeshow / exhibitor opportunities
