Due to the pandemic, the MVMA and MVTA have been unable to host the regular in-person CenCan conference. This has provided an opportunity to look for alternatives while still providing CE to members.
CenCan will no longer be a 3-day in-person event. The new look will include a virtual and in-person CE series, hosted in partnership with the MVMA, MVTA and other organizations within Manitoba, to provide education and engagement for members.

This session will cover small flock poultry parameters in Manitoba and the basics of poultry management, including nutrition, housing, biosecurity and disease mitigation. It will also discuss the Poultry Flock Avian Influenza Program offered by the Veterinary Diagnostic Services Laboratory in Winnipeg, which assists with disease surveillance and management in the province’s small flocks.
