The Russell and District Veterinary Clinic is looking for a full time mixed animal veterinarian to join our team. The Russell and District Veterinary Clinic is a mixed animal clinic located in Russell, Manitoba. Our clinic has recently undergone new ownership, and Dr.Huberdeau-Rubenuik and her team are looking for another enthusiastic, fun, and passionate veterinarian to join them.
A lot of new and exciting things are happening in our clinic. We built a brand new large animal clinic in March and have started renovating our small animal facilities. We are a well-equipped busy, progressive, mixed animal, full-service facility that is 40% bovine, equine and small ruminants and 60% small animal.Our small animal services include routine wellness and vaccine appointments, elective surgery, dentistry and emergency services. In house equipment includes newly upgraded small animal ultrasound, dental machine, digital radiography, in-house laboratory (CBC,Chemistry, urinalysis, fecalysis and more).
Our large animal services include routine herd healths, wellness appointments, calving, pregnancy diagnosis, semen testing, foaling, lambing, kidding, equine repro (with occasional AI), equine dentistry, laparoscopic sheep AI and a wide range of emergency services. In house equipment includes: repro scan (with brand new repro scan wireless monitor), lane IV ejaculator, equine power float, brand new equine repro ultrasound, and sheep AI equipment.
We are looking for a team player who enjoys working with people and yet can work independently. Strong communication, work ethic, problem solving and listening skills are desired. The Russell area is very busy economically. There are two potash mines, a canola crush plant and a flax crush plant that employ numerous individuals. The Assessippi Ski and Winter Park and the Riding Mountain National Park are two parks within driving distance for multiple opportunities for outdoor activities all year round. The town of Russell has a population of about 1800 and is very progressive. There is a kindergarten to grade 12 school in town and a newly renovated daycare and nursery school.
