Winnipeg Humane Society (Winnipeg, MB) Casual Veterinarians
We are looking for experienced small animal veterinarians to fill various shifts (mostly weekday mornings) on a casual basis.
Feel the satisfaction of being a part of our community support effort to fulfill our mission of protecting all animals from suffering and promoting their welfare and dignity.
The WHS (Winnipeg Humane Society) has a high volume clinic that offers excellent veterinary care to our patients. The clinic staff provide medicine and surgery service to the animals under the care of the shelter as well other rescues and pets of low income owners across the province. We do high volume elective surgeries 5 days a week as well as routine wellness appointments, advanced soft tissue surgery, orthopedic surgery and offsite wellness and spay/neuter clinics within Winnipeg and outside of the city.
As the demand for our services and our programs expand, we are looking for small animal veterinarians who share our mission to join our team on a casual basis and fill shifts in various capacities but primarily morning spay/neuter shifts and weekend onsite and offsite remote spay/neuter clinics. It’s not all about surgery though, we also need veterinarians to fill on site wellness appointment shifts and offsite one health/wellness clinic shifts. The job satisfaction and personal awards with the work we do is impactful. If you are looking for a little something different to break up your work week and add to your career and have some time to spare, please email Dr. Gina Bowen, Director of Veterinary Services at ginab@winnipeghumanesociety.ca with your resume, availability, areas of interest/strength and wage expectation.
