Workplace safety

A recent postal–related incident is renewing calls for safety and diligence at all Manitoba veterinary practice offices. A delivery to the Manitoba Veterinary Medical Association office in Winnipeg initially caused some concern amongst staff. Though the contents were benign, MVMA Council reminds all that it’s important to keep safety in mind at all time, including when receiving or handling items at the office. All staff are reminded to be watchful of all materials they encounter at the workplace and to refer to Workplace Safety and Health protocols should any doubt or concern arise. Click here for a link to the WSH site for more information or call 1–888–915–8088.
