It’s time again for MVMA Council nominations! This is your chance to be a leader in the Manitoba veterinary profession. Licensed members (practicing veterinarians) or members registered under s .17 of the Veterinary Medical Act (registered veterinary technologists) of the MVMA are entitled and encouraged to nominate colleagues to MVMA Council.

MVMA Council Nominations – (3) positions open

1 veterinary technologist and 2 veterinarian members council positions.

3 MVMA Council members’ terms will expire in January 2027:

• 2 veterinarian council members: Dr. Joe King, Dr. Gwenda Olson*
• 1 veterinary technologist council member: Laura Greenhalgh*

*Eligible to renew for an additional term.

MVMA Election Notification

Should there be more nominations than vacant positions, an election will be held from Wednesday, November 18- Friday November 27, 2026. The Election Day for 2026 MVMA Council positions (if required), will be Friday, November 27, 2026.
