Veterinarians working together to enhance professional excellence for the health and welfare of animals and Manitobans.

Legislated by the Province of Manitoba’s Veterinary Medical Act, today the MVMA is supported by its 300 members. From our head office in Winnipeg, veterinarians come to us to obtain and renew their licenses. We also regulate the practice of veterinary medicine in Manitoba and ensure that Manitobans have access to qualified veterinary care.

We advocate for animal health, we grow public awareness of veterinary medicine and we keep our veterinarians informed and connected to national and international veterinary communities.

The Manitoba Veterinary Medical Association is the professional organization of the province’s veterinarians. We are an independent, non-profit entity that is dedicated to promoting the excellence of the veterinary profession.
